The next day after Kids Instyle finished, we were on a plane heading straight to New York, for the New York International Gift Fair.

It was the biggest trade event that we had attended by far, and we were situated in the section known as New York’s Newest at Pier 92.

When you book this event, the standard build is what they call a ‘pipe and drape’ finish, and its literally white curtains on steel piping. And if you want hard walls its a lot more $$$. Lets just say we weren’t initially impressed.

Needless to say however, it does draw a big cross section of US retail buyers, and ultimately we were happy with our initial orders.
